A Bodrum summer doesn't begin with the sea β it begins with choosing the right beach club. In 2026 these are no longer places that simply rent you a sunbed; they're lifestyle destinations with sunset ceremonies, international DJs, wellness programmes and their own motor-yacht shuttles. That experience comes at a price, and the price has climbed sharply since 2024: averages are up 20-25%, some iconic venues by as much as 300%, and euro or dollar-based pricing is now standard. This guide tells you exactly which club suits whom, what you'll pay, and β most importantly β when to go.
Learn the two pricing models first
The single most important question to ask when booking is whether a venue charges an entry fee or a minimum spend. The difference hurts. An entry fee is paid at the door and at most venues does not count toward what you eat and drink inside β you pay to get in, then the menu bill comes on top. With a minimum spend, the sunbed is free but you must exceed a set amount at your table; food and drinks count toward it. Clarify which model applies when you reserve so there are no surprises at the gate.
Three leagues, three coasts
There are roughly three tiers. First, the jet-set and international-DJ league at 90-230 euro per person: Maca Kizi, Scorpios, The Bodrum Edition and Buddha Bar. Second, the chic but more accessible mid-tier, lifestyle- and wellness-led: Lucca, Folie and Xuma. Third, the family-friendly, budget classics: Cio, Lago and Camel. The rule of thumb is simple: the north coast (Turkbuku, Golkoy, Yalikavak) is more luxurious with sunset views; the south and central coast (Ortakent, Bitez) is calmer and cheaper.
The jet-set league
Maca Kizi is the symbol of Turkbuku and Bodrum's most expensive address β a wooden jetty, bougainvillea paths, a legendary lunch buffet and a quiet-luxury air that prizes quality over show. In 2026 the minimum spend typically runs 6,500-9,000 TL (roughly 185-230 euro). The decks are calmest from 13:30-15:30 as the restaurant fills up. Dress code is upscale resort chic; a beach T-shirt and flip-flops won't cut it. Scorpios is the Golkoy outpost of the famous Mykonos team β bohemian, organic-minimalist, both spiritual and social. Its weekly DJ calendar peaks with the Valeron residency on Wednesdays and the celebrated 'Ritual' sunset ceremony on Fridays and Sundays. Reckon on around 2,100 TL entry plus about 3,150 TL spend inside (~90 euro per person). Its real character emerges between 17:30 and 20:30. A caveat: some seasons have seen closures and schedule changes, so confirm it's open and check the Ritual day before you go.
The Bodrum Edition in Yalikavak's Kudur pairs a white-sand beach and infinity-pool cabanas with sunset parties that fly in the world's biggest DJs β the 'party plus luxury' address. Entry is around 120-130 euro with a minimum spend near 100 euro. Beds are often first-come-first-served, so arrive early for a waterfront spot. Buddha Bar, on the Bitez side, blends Far Eastern mysticism with Aegean elegance: a sheltered cove, cabana terraces, careful sushi and Pacific-fusion cuisine. It's premium (~150 euro per person), best from 18:00-20:30 once the music starts, and reachable by yacht.
Chic but accessible: Lucca, Folie, Xuma
Lucca in Golkoy's Demirbuku sits between wellness and nightlife: DJ Memo Garan spins house sets at sunset, chef Tuncay Ucar leads a seasonal Mediterranean kitchen, and there are padel courts and quiet zones. In 2026 entry is 4,000 TL with a minimum spend around 100 euro, part of the entry fee counting toward food and drink. The sweet spot is 15:00-17:30. Folie, on Haremtan Cove, is a French-Riviera-flavoured platform over the sea; at around 50 euro entry or minimum it's one of the most accessible in the luxury league, with online booking and music and dancing kicking off in the afternoon. Xuma, on Yalikavak's Kudur peninsula, is a bohemian-refined wellness community with morning yoga and evening ethnic-house DJs. Entry runs around 3,240 TL, reservation required β and no children or pets.
Family-friendly and budget: Cio, Lago, Camel
Cio in Ortakent Yahsi is a newer, bohemian, family-friendly spot with a broad sandy area, comfortable cabanas and themed days (Mexican Day on Wednesdays, Italian Day on Fridays, Sunset Yoga on Sundays). Go for a relaxed day, not a jet-set scene. Lago in Golkoy is an easygoing option with a calm daytime beach and an evening happy-hour mood; entry is usually free with a minimum spend around 2,500 TL (confirm in season). Camel on the Gumbet side is among the cheapest on the list β entry around 700 TL with little minimum-spend pressure β for anyone who just wants an economical day of sea and sun.
When to go
The season runs from June to late September, with the full DJ and party programme in July-August. During that window weekdays are relatively calm while Friday-Sunday are packed and expensive. June and September are the most balanced months for price and crowds. Summer sunset falls around 20:00-20:30, and most clubs only come alive after 17:00 β so an afternoon arrival is the most efficient way to catch the beach-plus-sunset-plus-music trio. There's also the wind: Bodrum's afternoon meltem can stiffen and north-facing coves can get choppy. We break down which cove stays calm in which wind in our Bodrum calm-beaches wind guide.
The most common mistakes
The most frequent misconception is assuming the entry fee counts toward your spend inside. The second is turning up without a reservation: at weekends and sunset you simply won't get a spot at the famous clubs. The third is arriving at the wrong hour β Scorpios, Buddha Bar and Folie look 'dead' at midday and only switch on after 17:00. The fourth is taking a family or children to an adult-focused party club; Cio and Camel are far better choices for that. If you want to roll the evening into a night out, plan where to go next with our Bodrum nightlife guide. And to balance venue, budget and comfort, our cove and wind guide makes the decision easy. Get the right club, the right hour and the right cove together and a Bodrum beach club stops being an expensive day and becomes the best memory of your summer.
